The Arc Midi R2 have the following improvements from Arc Midi R1

  • The 2 HDD cages are now split into two cages; top cage with 5 drives and the bottom cage with 3 drives (previously 4+4) to better accommodate dual graphics card setups
  • Fan controller is integrated in the front panel and supports up to 3 fans
  • 3 Silent Series R2 hydraulic bearing fans included, contributing to a longer life span
  • 2 SSDs can be installed on the back of the motherboard plate
  • Front fan filter can now be removed from the case and easily washed separately
  • Bottom HDD cage is fitted with screws instead of rivets and can be easily repositioned or removed
  • The top and front mesh are constructed of thicker metal, making sure it’s completely flat and level
  • The logo on the front panel has been moved from above the bays to the bottom of the front panel within the mesh
  • It now comes standard with a window side panel, slightly tinted
  • Front fans are fastened with screws instead of plastic clips
  • The front structure has been modified to better accommodate radiators for water cooling
