Refine setup/functions

To set up your Refine chair, there are multiple things you can do to personalize it after your sitting style.

The first thing we'll go through is the backrest and tilting function.

Backrest

The backrest has a tilt mechanism which allows you to either set it at a specific tilt setting, or have it unlocked for free tilting. The chair utilize a thing we call "synchro-tilt", which means when tilting, the seat tilts with it.
This mechanism is located on the left side of the seat when sitting down:

To unlock the tilt function, push in the handle. To lock it, simply pull it out.

The backrest can be locked at multiple steps (13), allowing you to set a tilt position suitable for your needs.

Due to various sitting styles and body types, the tilt tension might be too much or too little for you. It is possible to adjust this by using the lever in the front right position under the seat to fit you. Push in the tilt lock handle on the left side of the chair, pull out the lever on the right side under the seat (simply hold it and move hand to the right) and rotate:

If you rotate counter-clockwise, you decrease the tilt tension. If you rotate clockwise, you increase it. The lever can be rotated up to 40 times, so finding a tension level that fits you should not be a problem.

The lumbar support on the backrest can be adjusted in two ways. Up/down and back/forward:

To move it up/down, simply pull it upwards or downwards. To move it forward or backwards, rotate the wheel on it.

If you rotate it all the way counter-clockwise, you will not feel it while sitting, giving an option to those who prefers not to use it (we know that this part is a divider on many chairs).

Seat adjustment

The seat of the chair can also be adjusted. The first is the height of the seat, which can be moved up or down by utilizing the front handle on the right side of the seat:

To lower it, sit on top of the chair and pull the handle out. To raise it, get off the chair and pull the handle out. The lowest to highest seat height is 475-595 mm (18.7" - 23.4") on fabric & Alcantara versions, and 490-610 mm (19.3" - 24") on mesh version.

For optimal usage over time in terms of ergonomics, keep the chair at a height where your knees keep a 90 degree angle to the seat and floor:

It's also possible to adjust the depth of the seat by using the rear handle on the right side of the seat:

The base setting of the chair is with the seat as far back as possible, so to move the seat forward, pull the handle out and push the seat forward (might require some leg work), and to move it backwards, get out of the chair and pull the handle out and it will move back automatically.

The headrest/neck pillow can also be adjusted up or down by pushing it up or pulling it down:

If you wish to remove it, push the button on the top of the backrest and pull it out by holding the top of the neck pillow:

Armrest adjustment

The armrests can be adjusted in multiple ways. Forward/backwards, left/right, up/down, and also rotate the top of them.

To adjust the height, use the lever on the outside of the armrest:

Preferred ergonomic height is to have it 90 degrees with your elbow when sitting straight:

To adjust depth, simply pull the top of the armrest back or forth:

To rotate the armrest, hold in the button on the inside front part of the top and pull it left or right:

It has 3 settings. Left, straight, and right (15 degree rotation). Easiest way to rotate them is to push the armrest forward as far as possible and then hold in the button and rotate.

To adjust the width of the armrest, hold in the lower center button on the armrest and pull left or right:

If you feel that this isn't enough, you can adjust the entire armrest by slightly releasing the 3 screws under the seat and move it to the setting you prefer:
